Our Story
Rich History
Heber Springs is home to an extremely rich history - including our beautiful brick building. Not only does it house the longest running business in Heber Springs, the barber shop located on the first floor, but it was also the first brick building in Heber Springs, a distinguished landmark. Each beautiful brick was fired on site using clay from Sulphur Creek which is walking distance from the building.

The second story of this building has its own rich history. It once housed a bar prior to prohibition, Cleburne County's first telephone exchange, the Masonic Lodge and mercantile storage during the days it served as the local general store. Today, The Lofts sit above Ellen Hobgood's Art Gallery. An extension of the gallery, we feature paintings from local artists in our rooms.
Total Restoration
As you can imagine after many years of vacancy, we've had to rebuild the entirety of The Lofts from the ground up. This gave us the opportunity to preserve the history and charm of the building while being able to add modern and functional elements to create an overnight, weekend or extended stay that is like no other.
